GT cars have ABS, and there is no reason not to use it. I'll use braking as a physics aspect to segway into FFB teritory. Not sure if that's a testament to how good Ferraris are and how well modellled they've been for the past 14 years in sims, or if Enzo's company made some very specific demands for selling the license, but I found it immediately apparent and interesting, which is why it's mentioned.
You really have to try to spin a Ferrari in both games while with a Porsche in GTR 2 or a Merc in ACC, overdoo it just a little bit and the car want to kill you.
Seriously in both games these are the easiest cars to drive IMHO (GTR 2 I run without assists and in ACC i turned TC and ABS off to have a comparison). And one thing comes to mind in comparison turns between GTR 2 and ACC instantly is that Ferraris are OP AF. Aside from that, cars behave like they should. Chassis flex is also not there as are realistic turbos (only one of the cars in the game has a turbo I think), but considering these are GT3 cars, well I don't really see this as a huge factor. Tyre deformation and flat spots are missing, but honestly, now that I drive the cars more or less correctly, I don't really notice this aspect, since I keep my tyres nice and tidy. Rain is obviously not realistically modeled (forget puddles and waterplaning), but it's there and makes for an immersive experience. First sim to have rubber build up and somewhat of a dynamic track. So obviously, GTR 2 isn't up to standards when it comes to physics, but some things here are remarkable. Obviously, physics and FFB will be the main point of the comparison, since ACC is a modern game and GTR 2 is pretty much ancient history, so no point talking about graphics and such (sound I'll cover though).
Like name a sim with a save game mid-race, driving school, two full seasons of GT cars and tracks, not to mention a banging soundtrack? Well, yeah of course ACC probably comes closest in terms of a sim with "identity", which is why I'm comparing the two. I don't think there is a point in discussing features of this old ass sim, as nothing came close. So I was bored and tried some nostalgia pills, woosh! GTR 2 was installed, modded with the community patch and a custom FFB PLR file.
